Rumour: E-liquids contain harmful substances and people vaping are not aware of what they are putting in their bodies.

Rumour: There is antifreeze liquid in the vaping liquid

The truth: The reason people claim that there is anti freezing agent in the vaping liquid. It is because it may contain propylene glycol. This is a chemical that is also present in the fire whisky that adults consume. So there is nothing harmful in it.

Rumour: You get popcorn lungs

The truth: According to the study that was conducted by Dr. Michael Siegel has proven through research that vaping liquid contains very negligent amount of diacetyl. Smokers are exposed to 750 times more diacetyl than vapers. There is nothing so much harmful in them that may cause popcorn lungs. The popcorn lungs happen when a person inhales huge amount of diacetyl. Vapers are not exposed to this amount of diacetyl, hence the claim is false.

Rumour: Nicotine causes cancer.

Truth: This one of the most false claims that we get to hear. Nicotine does not cause cancer. It is not carcinogen and thus its accumulation will not result in cancer in any way. Caffeine and nicotine have same sort of side effects on a human body so we cannot classify nicotine as something cancerous.

Rumour: Vaping is addictive.

Truth: Vaping is not addictive. You might get addicted to newer liquids, trying out different flavours, or getting new tanks and atomizer but as a habit vaping itself is not addictive at all.

Rumour: E-cigarettes are explosive.

Truth: E-cigarettes are not explosive. Misusing it can lead to accidents. If the tank has not been screwed properly there are chances that the liquid may leak and reach to the battery and cause some damage. The precautionary measure that can be taken is to make sure you disassemble the vaping device after every use to prevent leakages.

Rumour: Second hand vape can be very dangerous.

Truth: According to the research that was conducted by NCBI, there is no such thing. Each vaper gets the same amount of chemicals in his puff and the kind of effect that these chemicals might have is totally dependent on the kind of air in the room.
