Vape Replacement Coils

The atomizer is the part of the vaping kit where the vapors form. It consists of coils and a wicking material. The coils heat up using power from the battery and the wicking material absorbs the e-liquid, which upon receiving heat is vaporized to give you the vaping experience.

In terms of choosing the appropriate coil, the most important factor is the resistance of the coil. A lower resistance coil, or low ohms, provides more current and hence the coil gets hotter. This results in warmer and big volume vapor. Hence, a low resistance coil should be your choice if you are looking for a massive clouds experience. However, if you prefer lighter clouds and a cooler vape, then your choice should be of a higher resistance coil.

We offer a wide variety of replacement coil brands and hence you can choose from a wide range of Ohm rating based on your preference.

Types of Vaporizer Coils

An atomizer is the part of the vaping device that uses the battery to heat up the coil to produce the vapors. The coil wires can be made up of various materials, like stainless steel, titanium and nickel. The following types of coils are available:

Wick

This type of atomizer is made of cotton wound inside the coil unit, and is mainly used for e-liquid. The cotton absorbs the e-liquid and produces vapors when heated through the battery. They can be modified for use with concentrates and dry herbs, but they are not as durable as compared to ceramic type.

Ceramic

This coil does not use a wick. Instead, it consists of a heating wire mounted inside a ceramic assembly. Due to the nature of the material, the vaporization is well held even after the power has been turned off.

Pancake

This type of coil works like an electric stove top, i.e. the coil is placed at the bottom of the atomizer head, and heats up uniformly.

Donut

This type does not use a wire, instead there is a ceramic disk shaped like a donut, which is the heating element in this case. This can give higher and longer lasting temperature ranges.

The different types of atomizers available are the following:

Coil Heads

In this type, the coils are not custom built and are designed to be used with specific tank types. Their lifespan is short, usually around a week, depending upon the usage.

Things to Consider Before Buying Vaping Coils

Making a decision to buy replacement vaping coils can seem daunting in the start. However, by keeping these factors in mind, you can make a better decision.

The choice of vaping coils depends upon your usage and overall vaping experience. If you prefer a richer vaping experience, with voluminous vapor, you should go for lower resistance coils and if you prefer lighter vapor, then you should go for higher resistance coils.

If you do not switch e-liquid a lot, then you can choose coil heads, and if you like a more diverse e-liquid range and switch often, then you should choose the rebuildable atomizers. Over time with usage, you will get to know what gives you the best vaping experience and you would be better able to make more specific choices related to your personal preferences. It takes a little practice before you can get comfortable with the use of rebuildable coils.
