Coil and Preventive Measures

The coil of the vaping device is one of the fundamental aspects, and there needs to be extra care taken when you are vaping. Oil your coils well!

This may seem like a very clichéd idea, but there needs to be an understanding that you need prepare your coil before you start vaping. When you do not prime your coil well, there is always the chance that the coil may heat up and burn on its own. You need to prime the coil and then add the e-liquid to ensure that whenever you are using the vaping device, you need to have e-liquid within the coil only then it will heat up and prevent the coil from being burnt.

Do not chain vape!

When you start vaping, the coil gets dipped in the e-liquid, when you vape, the liquid burns without affecting the coil, but if you keep on vaping, then there is a serious chance that the wick and the coil will dry out ultimately and then you will have to face the consequences of the burnt coil.

To PG or VG?

E-liquids that contain PG get absorbed more quickly and ultimately the wick or the coil does not dry up quickly when vaping with PG based e-liquids as compared to VG e-liquids. When the e-liquid gets swiftly soaked, the life of your coil can be significantly improved as it will not burn that easily.

Use less sugar!

Well, you surely might not be on a diet, but your coil is. When the e-liquid burns, the residue that is left behind is caramelized sugar. The higher sugar quantity your e-juice has, the higher the chances of your coils feeling choked. As the e-liquid burns, the burnt sugar keeps on collecting on coils, and it can shorten the life of your coil.

Focus on controlling temperatures

Majority of the mods today come with temperature control features that allow you to set a maximum temperature that your coil should be reaching. If the temperature goes higher than the set temperatures than your device will automatically shut down preventing your coil from overheating and thus elongating its life and making sure that your coil does not burn. Such devices also do not allow you to vape when there is insufficient liquid in the vape tank. This feature helps prevent your coil from getting burnt.
